Join Ballet Theatre of Carmel Academy (BTCA) for an afternoon exploring ballet’s most enchanting tales!

Overview

Beautiful princesses, a magical firebird, and mystical forest fairies are ready to welcome our Girl Scout friends to the enchanted forest! Come dressed to flit and fly around the studio in your best ballet, princess, or fairy outfit and get ready to make magic happen.

Participants will learn simple ballet steps and put them together in a dance set to a famous piece of ballet music. Create your own one-of-a-kind Firebird mask and listen to the story of “The Firebird” read by a special guest. Then gather together for a preview performance of BTCA’s May 24-25 production of Enchanted Tales! Our pre-professional cast members, in full costume, will perform excerpts from the The Firebird and Les Sylphides. After the final bows, you’ll have the opportunity to meet the dancers, take photos, and ask questions. Each participant will go home with a goodie bag, a ballet patch, a free ticket for the full-length production of Enchanted Tales, and wonderful memories of an enchanted afternoon!

For Grades K, 1, 2, 3 (troops and individual scouts welcome)
