BTCA is a performance-focused academy and offers all dancers exciting opportunities to perform on stage each year!

Annual Student Showcase

Held in late spring, the Student Showcase (recital) is an opportunity for all BTCA dancers to gain experience on stage and show family and friends all they have accomplished during the year. Each class will learn and perform at least one piece. Rehearsals take place during class time (with the exception of Dress & Production Week rehearsals). Participation is optional, but encouraged.

Nutcracker & Spring Ballet (Dancers ages 5-8)

Young dancers ages 5-8 (whether enrolled at BTCA or not) can perform with BTCA company dancers in the full-length Nutcracker and Spring Ballet productions, as part of the Be An Angel/Be A Fairy Programs. Rehearsals for the Nutcracker’s Be A Fairy program start in October with performances in December. Rehearsals for Spring Ballet’s Be An Angel Program begin in February with performances in May. The time commitment for these programs is just two months, and performance fees are reduced. Registration for these programs is early in each semester and spaces are limited.

Nutcracker & Spring Ballet (Dancers ages 7+)

All BTCA dancers 7yrs and older may participate in BTCA’s 2 full-length classical ballets presented each year. Nutcracker is held in December (4 shows in one weekend), and Spring Ballet is held in May (2 shows in one weekend). Auditions are held at the beginning of each semester, and dancers may audition for one or both productions. Those dancers who wish to participate must meet minimum weekly class requirements and commit to regular rehearsals, rehearsal & performance fees, and parent volunteer requirements.
