Executive Financial Planning Group – Raymond James Joins as Production Partner

The Ballet Theatre of Carmel Academy (BTCA) presents the well-known holiday classic “The Nutcracker.” The holidays seem incomplete without Pyotr Tchaikovsky’s music.

The young prince who was turned into a nutcracker will once again need Clara’s help! Along the way she encounters her eccentric Godfather Drosselmeyer, the malevolent Mouse Queen, and, of course, the enchanting Sugar Plum Fairy and her Cavalier.

“It’s a creative suite that endures in part because of its incredible quality,” says Jane Hachiya-Warner, Co-Artistic Director of BTCA. “’The Nutcracker’ is a holiday staple, and also the story of a young girl finding her courage, even in the face of some fantastic characters and events!”

The BTCA presentation has a major change to announce. “All of our activities are underwritten in part by the Indiana Arts Commission and National Endowment for the Arts, and we’re thrilled to announce a title sponsor for this show.” Executive Financial Planning Group – Raymond James supported BTCA as the top-level sponsor for this production.

“They are our main sponsor, and we have several others. It is exciting and creates the sense of an expanded team within the studio,” says Hachiya-Weiner. Other sponsors include Moonbug Photography, Bibi Weprich and Olivia Weprich Hawkins, Bellissima Esthétique, and Kinney Dancewear.

The cast features experienced BTCA students, including no fewer than six high school seniors. “We’ve known some of them for most of their lives,” says Hachiya-Weiner. “It’s a special thing to have seen them come so far as people and as dancers.”

Other cast members are new to both the Academy and dance performance. “The enthusiasm and energy of new students combined with the experience and dedication of our longtime dancers makes for a wonderful ensemble,” says Hachiya-Weiner.“The Nutcracker” performances are December 18 at 2:00 and 7:30 pm, and again December 19 at 2:00 and 7:30 pm at the STAR Bank Performing Arts Center located at 1000 Mulberry Street in Zionsville. Tickets are on sale.
