Annual Production Highlights Year of Achievement
The Ballet Theatre of Carmel Academy (BTCA) presents the timeless holiday story “The Nutcracker.” The stage production is an annual highlight for BTCA, its students, and audiences.
The now classic story features the young Clara and her important role in saving a cursed prince. Piotr Tchaikovsky’s superb music is immediately recognizable during the holiday season. These things add up to a tradition like few others.
“We love it,” says Jane Hachiya-Warner, Co-Artistic Director of BTCA. “We love being part of this tradition and showing how capable and talented our students are.”
The cast includes experienced BTCA students and others new to both the Academy and dance performance. “We set a high standard,” adds Hachiya-Weiner, “and our students make great efforts. The stage performances are a showcase for their achievements.”
“The Nutcracker” performances are December 15 at 7:30 pm, and December 16 at 2:00 pm, at the Dale E. Graham Auditorium, located at 520 E. Main St. in Carmel. Tickets are available at https://www.tututix.com/ballettheatreofcarmel.
